On the school district front, the North East Independent School District saw Lisa Thompson triumph over Michael Gurwitz for Trustee, Place No. 1, and Terri Chidgey came out on top for Place No. 6. Meanwhile, community members voiced their opinions on propositions, with the City of Shavano Park's Proposition A gaining a sizable 'For' from voters; however, those in the City of Terrell Hills showed less enthusiasm with 'Against' votes outpacing 'For's on their Proposition A, which underscores the tailor-made concerns within each district.

Texas residents who missed the chance to express their voices this round won't have to wait long to make amends; a runback is scheduled for the Joint Primary Runoff election kicking off on Tuesday, May 28.
