A youthful bear was reported tramping around a residential area in Eugene this morning, causing local authorities to issue a wildlife alert. The animal was sighted near the West Bank Bike path, specifically in a backyard around Skip Court and Carolyn Drive at approximately 11:13 a.m., according to a statement from the Eugene Police Department, as reported by the City of Eugene, Oregon.

The intruding bear then seemed to amble over to the vicinity of the Owasso Bike Bridge, as per the City of Eugene, Oregon. Following the spotting, Oregon State Police were promptly notified of the bear's presence. Officials have not disclosed any encounters or issues ensuing from the bear's tour of the neighborhood.
