Chicago police are on the lookout for individuals connected to a series of burglaries across the city's 4th, 5th, 6th, and 22nd Districts. The suspects, captured on surveillance footage and shown in circulating images, were last seen clad in dark clothing. The Chicago Police Department's Area 2 Detectives are leading the investigation, and they are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying these persons of interest.
The incidents in question unfolded at various locations, beginning with a break-in at the 2800 E. Block of 95th Street on May 23, continuing with the 1100 W. Block of 95th Street on June 5, and most recently, hitting the 7500 S. Block of Exchange Avenue on June 11. While the clock ticked at 2:22 AM during the incident, its dark cloak did little to veil the activities of the individuals involved in the June 5 burglary. Images and video of the suspects have been released in the hopes that someone will come forward with information.
Community members are urged to review any security footage they may have and to remain vigilant. The link to the video released by the police can be found on the official CPD website, providing a clearer glimpse of the suspects in action. By wearing dark clothing possibly to blend into the night, the suspects' identities have remained concealed despite their actions being caught on tape.
Anyone with information about these burglaries or who recognizes the individuals in the video is encouraged to contact Area 2 detectives. "About this Crime," officials share specific details on the CPD's alert page, giving potential witnesses data points that might jog their memory or awareness. Desperate to catch the culprits, the community's cooperation in sharing information might yet shine a light on shadows that have thus far managed to evade law enforcement.
