A Greenfield man faces serious charges following an investigation led by the Hamilton County Metro ICAC Task Force.

Joseph Wortman, 33, was arrested on Thursday for alleged child exploitation and solicitation, after local law enforcement acted on CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Believed to have been involved in the unspeakable, detectives after receiving the tips, managed to secure a search warrant for Wortman's property. Upon executing the warrant, investigators uncovered multiple digital devices at Wortman's home.

These devices reportedly contained material suggesting Wortman was in possession of child sexual abuse content, according to FOX59.

Now behind bars at the Hancock County Jail, Wortman has been denied bond. He is currently awaiting court proceedings regarding these charges. Combating child exploitation remains a top priority for the ICAC Task Force, an effort underpinned by cooperation with national agencies to protect the most vulnerable from such damaging acts.

If convicted of the crimes, Wortman could face up to 12 years in a state penal institution.
