Homestead Police Explorers are rolling out the hoses and sponges for a good cause this Saturday, as the group is hosting a car wash fundraiser in Homestead, FL. Aiming to connect with community and support their own, the activists in blue will be ready to shine up your ride from 9 AM to 1 PM within the family-friendly confines of J.D. Redd Park.
With a flat rate of $10 for that sedan collecting dust in your driveway, or $15 to $20 for the larger family haulers, it's not just about a clean car. The funds will support the various initiatives of the Homestead Police Explorers Post 47, as stated in a notice posted by the City of Homestead. Donations above the set prices are also welcomed, for those feeling extra generous.
Explorer Chief Advisor Officer Wadley and Chief Alexander E. Rolle Jr. are the driving forces behind this event, emphasizing the program's commitment to nurturing future leaders and fostering a bridge between law enforcement and the community. It's a chance not just for a clean car, but for locals to engage with those who wear the badge in a setting stripped of sirens and uniforms.
The entire event is purposed for rallying public support while providing young individuals a platform for growth and positive interaction with law enforcement personnel. The Homestead Police Explorers offer mentorship and practical experiences, building a foundation of knowledge and experience in the field of policing that can steer lives towards service and stewardship.
