Phoenix police have apprehended a 24-year-old man, Clayveion Dontae Hendrix, in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on June 9 in a central Phoenix residence, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. The incident took place at a home near 12th and Garfield streets, where police, responding to a call around 5:30 p.m., found 37-year-old Tracy Jerome Walker suffering from gunshot wounds.
Tracy Walker was quickly transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, a grim outcome for what began as an emergency dispatch to a local home, and Hendrix who was present at the scene upon the officer's arrival was detained and during the investigation, he made admissions to being responsible for the shooting according to investigators, he was consequently jailed on a murder charge, as per AZFamily. Officers have since declared that no additional suspects are involved in this case, indicating that their probe heavily suggests a singular narrative of the events that unraveled that evening.
In a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix, the Phoenix Police noted, "Hendrix was interviewed about this incident and made admissions to being responsible for the shooting," following which he was processed into custody on murder charges.
