In a practical move to mitigate the struggles facing residents, free towing services have been initiated in Miami Beach, following severe flooding that has left many vehicles stranded. According to WSVN, local towing companies like Tremont Towing and Beach Towing have stepped up to offer their assistance at no cost.

The free towing service permits the removal of vehicles from floodwaters to the side of the road or, to the nearest secure area. This service is active through the end of the day, and residents in need can avail of it by calling Tremont Towing at 305-672-2395 or Beach Towing at 305-534-2128. However, due to the expected high volume of service calls, the companies have requested the public's patience as they address each request in turn.

In a related update from social media, Commissioner David Suarez announced that the complimentary towing services would extend through Thursday, which was reported in a post on X. The move aims to provide continued support to residents as the city grapples with the current flooding situation.

For assistance involving vehicles on City of Miami Beach property or to address general towing inquiries, concerned parties may reach out to the city’s parking hotline at 305-604-4785. The free tows, it is essential to note, are intended only for transitioning vehicles to the immediate, safest location out of the water – presenting a temporary fix for those caught in the predicament. As the cleanup efforts continue, residents are urged to stay safe and to avoid driving through flooded streets if possible.
