A tragic incident occurred on the North West side where a motorcyclist lost his life after a collision with an SUV. The accident took place around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Babcock Road and Hubner Road, as reported by FOX San Antonio. Police arrived on the scene after being alerted to the downed motorcyclist.

According to the preliminary investigation, the motorcycle was heading south along Babcock Road when it collided with a white SUV that was exiting the HEB parking lot. The SUV driver, who was pulling out of the lot, attempted to turn left into the northbound lanes of Babcock, unfortunately intersected with the motorcyclist's path.

The motorcyclist, identified as a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. As the incident is still under investigation, authorities have yet to determine fault and police have stated that intoxication does not appear to be a factor at this time.

The SUV's driver, shaken by the encounter, told responding officers that despite looking both ways, they had not seen the motorcyclist prior to the collision.
