The community of Pembroke Pines can breathe a sigh of relief as the Pembroke Pines Police Department has announced that Carl "CJ" Marcellus Jr., the 15-year-old boy who had been missing since Monday morning, has been found safe. WSVN reported that authorities concluded their search on Tuesday afternoon, thanking the public for their assistance in the matter.
The search effort for CJ was a community-wide initiative, with residents and officials coming together to quickly try to locate the missing teen. CJ was last seen in the area of 9500 Southwest First Court, as per the description provided by the Hoodline. Notably, CJ was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and was carrying a red and black backpack. His physical characteristics, including him being six feet tall and 110 pounds, were shared extensively to better enable residents to identify him.
During the search, a special attention was directed towards the Tanglewood Park area, where CJ was believed to potentially have been heading. The police reiterated their call for any information from the public, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
