Authorities in the District are on the lookout for a stabbing suspect following an altercation that took place in Northeast. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred yesterday morning, inside a local business located in the 2500 block of Benning Road, Northeast.
The dispute escalated into a physical confrontation, ultimately leading to the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene. Officials report that the suspect made their escape in a dark-colored SUV. Details of the altercation and the events leading up to it remain under investigation.
The victim, whom has not been identified, was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. There, they received treatment for wounds described as non-life-threatening.
In their appeal for public assistance, the Metropolitan Police Department urged anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to come forth.
