A 74-year-old woman was found deceased under circumstances that were initially labeled as suspicious. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday in an apartment complex near West Avenue, according to FOX San Antonio. First responders were met with a scene that prompted the detaining of one person of interest.
Details emerged that the woman exhibited trauma to her face and head, leading to immediate concerns regarding the cause of her death. Despite these concerns, a report by FOX San Antonio mentioned that the person of interest related to her death was subsequently arrested, further fueling speculation amidst the community's growing unease. The San Antonio Police Department conducted their investigation.
However, as the inquiries progressed, it became apparent that despite initial appearances, the death of the elderly woman was not as sinister as first suspected. Police later stated she appears to have passed of natural causes.
The individual detained in the wake of the discovery, pulled over along Vance Jackson, was presumably connected to the incident. Yet, in light of the police's assessment of natural causes, the standing of this person of interest remains unclear. SAPD works to complete its investigation.
