An altercation at a west Miami-Dade LA Fitness gym escalated into violence when one man was stabbed on Thursday morning. Police responded to the scene at approximately 8 a.m., at the LA Fitness located at 14100 SW Eighth St., near the Tamiami area, after reports of the incident surfaced, according to Local10.com.
Both the victim, who was wounded by the stabbing, and the other man involved in the fight were taken to an area hospital. They were reported to be in stable condition at around 9:45 a.m., as stated by a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department. The identities of the two men have not been released, and, police have not disclosed whether charges will be pursued in the aftermath of this violent encounter.
Similarly, a report by WSVN detailed that Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the individuals to the hospital following the stabbing, with the man who was stabbed suffering an apparent stab wound and the other sustaining injuries from the fight.
