The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, near 158th Avenue, where the patrol officer was in response to a reported disturbance in North Beaverton, as reported by KOIN. The officer experienced a sudden flash and explosion which shattered the vehicle's passenger window and left the door damaged.
