The incidences primarily occurred on a single day, pointing to a potential spree by the offenders.
Specifically, businesses on the 4600 Block of South Halsted Street and the 700 Block of West Garfield Boulevard were targeted on July 14. The burglaries were carried out in the early hours of the morning, with the first report coming in at 2:18 A.M., followed by a succession of incidents between 5:00 A.M. and 5:11 A.M., as detailed by the CPD. Due to the concentrated nature and timing of these crimes, authorities are urging businesses to increase their security measures and remain vigilant.
