There is also a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms following that window on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service spells out a limited risk of thunderstorms through the week. No severe weather episodes are anticipated for today, but the risk of thunderstorms persists intermittently through Thursday. Specific areas mentioned include north central Illinois, northeast Illinois, and northwest Indiana over land, with similar risks on the nearshore waters of Lake Michigan.

Boaters should also take heed of the weather conditions as they pertain to the waters of Lake Michigan leading into the latter half of the week.
