The search intensifies for Kelli Fisher, a 42-year-old woman missing since July 16, 2024, as her family appeals to the public for any information regarding her whereabouts. The St. Petersburg Police Department has been leading the investigation, with detectives scouring the area since Fisher's disappearance was reported. In a heartfelt plea for assistance, Fisher's sister, Latifa Jackson, addressed the media at 1 p.m. yesterday, urging anyone with knowledge of Fisher's movements or current location to come forward.
On the afternoon of her disappearance, Fisher was last seen driving away from her residence on the 1700 block of Prescott Street South. The vehicle, which belonged to her aunt, was found abandoned the following day in a lot near 803 28th Avenue South. The scene, with the driver's side door ajar, prompted immediate concern. According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, officers found three cell phones and a small amount of cash inside the car but no trace of Fisher.
Fisher's disappearance has raised alarm among her relatives and authorities, particularly because she suffers from mental health issues, a point underscored during her sister's plea for help. Although Fisher has faced challenges related to her mental health in the past, her family stated that she has never before vanished in such a manner.
Authorities and loved ones are working with a description of Fisher: a woman standing 5'8" tall, weighing approximately 200lbs, with brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair. The St. Petersburg Police Department and Fisher's family, missing her presence and anxious for her wellbeing, continue to reach out for public assistance in the hopes that someone will provide information leading to her safe return.
