
A tragic incident unfolded last night in Palm City, San Diego when a physical altercation escalated into a fatal stabbing. According to the San Diego Police Department, around 7:50 PM, dispatchers were alerted to the stabbing at 600 Hollister Street near the Palm Avenue Trolley Station. Responding officers found a male suffering from a stab wound, who succumbed to his injuries after paramedics attempted lifesaving measures during transport to a local hospital.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was described as a Hispanic male, likely in his teens or early adulthood. Detectives coordinate with the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office to ascertain his identity. Running to a nearby dark-colored vehicle, the suspect, also described as a youthful Hispanic male, possibly a teenager or young adolescent, fled the scene post-assault, heading southbound on Hollister Street.
San Diego Police Homicide Detectives have since launched an investigation into the events that led to the man's death. Initial findings suggest the altercation began on the west sidewalk of 600 Hollister Street before migrating into an adjacent parking lot and, ultimately, the stabbing at the trolley station. The police are now actively seeking witnesses, canvassing the area for surveillance video, and interviewing residents.

"Detectives would like to speak to anyone that may have witnessed the event but left before officers arrived at the scene," the San Diego Police Department expressed in a public appeal.
