Nashville SC has made its move to bolster its leadership, roping in former United States men's national team assistant B.J. Callaghan to take the helm as head coach. Callaghan, known for his tactical nous and impressive stint with the USMNT, is set to officially join the club on July 22, according to ESPN.
His first test as Nashville's chief tactician lands when the team faces Mazatlán F.C. in the Leagues Cup match at GEODIS Park, noted by NewsChannel 5.
With Callaghan's hiring, Nashville SC gains a coach whose accomplishments include leading a large reserve USMNT to the 2023 Gold Cup semifinals, as well as clinching the 2023 Concacaf Nations League title.
