Franklin is calling on cat lovers to mark their calendars for the city's 4th annual Kitty Hall adoption event. Set in the municipal building's own hallways, this event promises a unique mingling with feline friends on July 19, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Williamson County Animal Center and the City of Franklin have once again banded together to find homes for an abundance of kittens and cats during this peak season, according to an announcement on the city's official website.
The adoption fees are notably reduced to $25.00 for the day, which, in conjunction with Mars Petcare's participation, including giveaways for new pet parents, aims to encourage attendees toward adoption. Franklin City Hall will transform a conference room into an environment reminiscent of a cat café, inviting people to relax amidst the comfort and company of the adoptable felines. Donations for the center are welcomed and will be accepted throughout the event where, the companionship of cats is hoped to be a heartwarming incentive for attendees to open not just their wallets but their homes.
Mayor Ken Moore expressed his enthuthiasm for the initiative, saying, "Kitty Hall is one of the most fun events we do, and I’m happy to say we’ve helped to provide homes for dozens of kitties," as reported on the city's news section. Moore emphasized that both kittens and adult cats are seeking new homes and underscored the impact of these proceedings, which go towards supporting the Williamson County Animal Center - an integral part of the Franklin community.
