Another chapter closes in Orlando's culinary playbook that Graffiti Junktion, an iconic burger joint in the Thornton Park District, has announced the imminent shutdown of its original location. The Thornton Park Graffiti Junktion will end its “15+ year adventure” on Sunday, July 28, the establishment declared on social media, as cited by ClickOrlando.
The restaurant seeks to have to say farewell to the community's support that sustained it for more than a decade and a half. "On behalf of the staff we thank everyone for over a decade of support and overwhelming love!" reads a heartfelt post, as WFTV reported.
The iconic location on East Washington Street and Summerlin Avenue, recognized by patrons for its vibrant atmosphere and classic American fare, served as the original flagship since its inception. Over the years, it underwent a significant migration from its starting point in 2008 to Cavo’s Bar & Kitchen’s current spot, and then to its final destination in East Washington, where it replaced WildSide BBQ Bar & Grill at the tail end of 2016.
Through its final week, Thornton Park's Graffiti Junktion team invites the community to "make sure we go out with a bang," hoping to create just a few more memories, according to a post via ClickOrlando.
