
Earlier today in Hialeah, a woman was allegedly stabbed by her boyfriend in what police described as a "domestic-related incident." The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at a residence in the 4200 block of West 11th Place. Local 10 reported that the 35-year-old woman dialed 911 seeking assistance and was later found by officers outside the home with a 10-year-old child, who was unharmed.
Following the call, the woman was transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, her condition has not been disclosed to the public. Hialeah Police's Lt. Eddie Rodriguez confirmed the suspect was inside the home when authorities arrived and later emerged with what appeared to be, a self-inflicted stab wound. The man, identified only as the victim's boyfriend, was taken into custody and received medical treatment at the same hospital, details of his condition were not immediately available.
The identities of the victim and the suspect have yet to be released by officials. Police have also not provided further specifics regarding the events leading up to the stabbing. The investigation by Hialeah police into the circumstances of the incident remains ongoing.
In a parallel report from NBC Miami, it was stated that the suspect allegedly came outside, to face law enforcement with the apparent self-inflicted injury. The child present at the scene was confirmed to be unscathed in the incident. Police have yet to release further details concerning the identities of those involved or the motive behind the altercation.
