
In a tragic event just before the Fourth of July celebrations, Lawrence County, Tennessee is mourning the loss of a deputy sheriff. According to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Anthony Cutcher died Wednesday after being involved in a vehicular crash. The sheriff's office expressed their heartache over the loss in a social media post, stating, "It’s with heavy hearts and deepest sympathies that we announce the sudden passing of Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Cutcher," as stated by WSMV
The crash occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of West Gaines Street and Mahr Avenue in Lawrenceburg, which, is a short distance from the sheriff's office. Details from WSMV reveal that the accident involved a motorcycle and a car, with the latter being T-boned during the incident.
Deputy Cutcher, who was off-duty at the time of the accident, was taken to a Lawrenceburg emergency room following the crash. Due to the nature of his injuries, immediate transportation to Nashville was not possible. As detailed by WKRN, the sheriff's department has reached out to the public for support, asking for "prayers for friends and family during this difficult time."
