Last week's theft at the San Francisco Premium Outlets led to more than just lost merchandise; it ended with an alleged thief in cuffs, thanks to some alert work by Livermore Police. The Livermore Police Department reported that its officers responded to a tip from the outlet's security team about a suspect believed to have been involved in the thefts.

Once on the scene, officers didn't have to search long. They spotted the suspect in the parking lot. After a brief investigation, including the search of his vehicle, they uncovered over 90 items valued at around $6,100. These goods are believed to have been stolen from close to six different stores, and this haul does not make it a minor incident.
The alleged transient thief, identified as 26-year-old Elthon Miguel Romero-Paz from Texas, faces a slew of charges. The Livermore PD confirmed his arrest for organized retail theft, receiving stolen property, and possession of burglary tools. Romero-Paz has since been transferred to Santa Rita Jail to await the legal proceedings against him.
Details from the Livermore Police Department's statement reveal a planned series of thefts rather than a sporadic act of shoplifting.
