A routine test drive took an unexpected turn Wednesday when a 22-year-old woman crashed a dealership car into El Paseo Catracho, a restaurant on the near east side of Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the scene around noon after reports that a vehicle had collided with the establishment, causing substantial damage to the building's structure. According to FOX59, the young driver, operating with a learner’s permit, narrowly avoided striking a person in an electric wheelchair and an inflatable tube man during the incident.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department teamed up with the fire crews to assess the situation and investigate the crash. The driver, accompanied by a licensed driver in the front seat, reportedly lost control of the vehicle while making a right turn onto East Washington Street from Keystone Avenue.
