The Oakland Police Department is calling on locals to help identify victims of a recent assault and robbery in North Oakland. The incident, which unfolded last Friday evening, saw an off-duty officer and other witnesses intervene as they spotted an unknown suspect snatching victims’ belongings on the 5500 block of San Pablo Avenue.
Following the crime, the suspect dropped the items, which the officer promptly recovered and returned to the victims. The victims, however, quickly left the scene before on-duty officers could arrive and fully document the incident.
