
A tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening when a train struck and killed a pedestrian in Northwest Portland. The Portland Police Bureau reported that the collision happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest Sherlock Avenue and Nicolai Street. The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KATU News.
Further details were provided by the Portland Police, noting that the Major Crash Team had been deployed to thoroughly look into this case. KGW News reported, "PPB's Major Crash Team has responded to the scene to investigate; Northwest Nicolai Street will be closed in the immediate area, PPB said."
