A Pembroke Pines resident, Saul Alfonso Silva Valecillos, has been arrested on multiple charges, including sexual battery on a minor and online solicitation, according to the Pembroke Pines Police Department. WSVN reports that the 39-year-old man was expecting to meet the juvenile for what he believed would be a sexual encounter, but was instead met by law enforcement at a local shopping plaza on Monday, July 8.
As per police statements and information derived from an investigation, a party took place on June 30, 2024 at Valecillos' residence, located at 15650 SW 12th St. It was there that the underage victim, who consumed alcohol, tried to sleep in a bedroom. After entering the bedroom, "Valecillos entered the room and performed a sex act on the boy without his consent," as noted by NBC Miami. The boy opposed the assault and maneuvered to escape the room, immediately leaving the premises before alerting his parents—who then contacted authorities.
Subsequent to the initial incident, detectives revealed conversations between Valecillos and the minor, in which Valecillos requested sexually explicit photos and proposed a further sexual meeting. These communications led to the encounter that resulted in his apprehension. Detectives stressed that no additional evidence has surfaced to suggest Valecillos had inappropriate contact with other children, yet they urge those concerned that their child may have been in contact with Valecillos to reach out to Detective Ralph Rienzo with the Special Victims Unit.
The case against Valecillos is moving forward as the Pembroke Pines Police underscore their dedication to community safety, particularly regarding the well-being of children. They invited contact by concerned parents or guardians, stating, "Investigators have not identified any evidence to suggest that Silva Valecillos had any other inappropriate contact with children," as reported by NBC Miami. The police have reinforced their plea by providing direct contact information for Detective Rienzo to ensure swift communication.
