Phoenix authorities are on the lookout for a driver implicated in a fiery hit-and-run incident that took place on Friday night in central Phoenix. As reported by ABC15, the crash occurred near 24th Street and Indian School Road just past 10:15 p.m. Responding officers found a man and a woman near a burning vehicle, with both suffering minor injuries.
The situation escalated when the Phoenix Fire Department was dispatched to the site to manage the blaze. An additional report from UrbanActive detailed that after extinguishing the fire, firefighters transported the victims to a local hospital. Police then discovered that another car had been involved in the incident but had fled the scene.
Investigators have been piecing together the circumstances surrounding the crash, and they're now asking for the public's help in locating the second vehicle. Described as a white passenger car, it's suspected to be a Hyundai Elantra with notable front-end damage.
