Job seekers in Pima County have a good reason to mark their calendars for July 18, as the Kino Event Center is set to host a robust job fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, catering to those looking for positions in the public sector and education, will be located at 2805 E. Ajo Way and features an array of potential employers.
Pima County departments such as Parks & Recreation, Juvenile Court, and the Office of Digital Inclusion will be represented alongside institutions like Pima Community College and the Tucson Unified School District. Individuals interested in law enforcement may also find opportunities with the Tucson Police Department and Oro Valley Police Department among others.
A success story from Hugh Giblin, who found his current role as a business systems analyst at a previous county job fair, highlights the value of attending. "I thought, 'Well, OK, let's go and talk to real humans. And in the end, I feel like I landed in the right company and the right department doing the right job," Giblin shared in a statement, as reported by Pima County Newsroom.
To make the application process smoother, computers will be available for job applicants to apply on-site. Job openings can also be explored online before the event or those interested may contact the county directly at 520-724-8028 for recruitment information.
