Portland residents received some closure yesterday, as the Portland Police Bureau announced the arrest of an individual in connection with a May homicide in Wilkes Neighborhood. 23-year-old Alex M. Brown-Golden was taken into custody yesterday, July 23, in a joint effort by the Portland Police Bureau's Homicide Unit and U.S. Marshals, as reported on the official Portland Police Bureau news release.
Brown-Golden, the suspect, is facing charges of Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center following his arrest.
The Police Bureau informed that Shepherd's family was notified of the arrest.
