San Antonio is waking up to the tragic news of another young life lost to gun violence. A 17-year-old boy was found shot to death early Wednesday on the city's North Side. According to FOX San Antonio, the teenager was discovered on Santa Anna Street near West Avenue after neighbors heard gunshots around 4 a.m. and came out to find the victim lying in the street.
The San Antonio Police Department arrived at the scene following the reports of gunfire. No witnesses have come forward, and the investigation into the deadly shooting is actively ongoing. In a separate event reported by KENS 5, a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed. Identified as Augie Rangel, the young teen was found with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the middle of Santa Anna Street. The San Antonio Police Department responded to a distress call at approximately 3:45 a.m., where paramedics attempted to save the teen but ultimately pronounced him dead at the scene. Police are appealing to the public for any information that can help in their investigations.
