San Diego has witnessed a string of significant arrests in connection with old and new homicide cases, as police efforts seem to intensify in solving violent crimes within the community. A recent homicide investigation came to a climax this past week with the arrest of a suspect allegedly involved in a deadly apartment complex shootout on Euclid Avenue in Talmadge.
The fatal incident occurred last Monday when a 38-year-old Black female, identified as Senait Legesse, suffered a gunshot wound during an attempted intervention in an armed robbery. According to the San Diego Police Department, an unknown suspect barged into an apartment, robbing a white male of his wallet, before the tragic shooting unfolded.
After days of diligence, homicide detectives identified 35-year-old Robert Madden, a Black male, as the suspect. Madden, who has been linked to the shooting, was arrested last Friday and is scheduled for arraignment on charges of murder tomorrow. Information is still being sought despite the breakthrough, and potential witnesses are urged to step forward.
