
The San Francisco Police Department is currently investigating a deadly shooting that occurred in the Mission District. The incident took place last night near 16th and Mission streets, where an adult male victim was found with gunshot wounds, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
Officers from Mission Station were dispatched to the scene at around 5:41 p.m. after receiving reports of the shooting. Upon arrival, they administered first aid to the wounded man. Subsequently, the medics who arrived on the scene transported the victim to the hospital, however, despite the intensive efforts to save his life the victim later died due to the severity of his injuries.
The case, which is currently being led by the SFPD Homicide Detail, remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made. The SFPD has issued a public appeal for information relating to the case.
