
The Miramar Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the community in the search for an elderly resident, 86-year-old Linda King, who has been reported missing since Monday. King, according to a statement released by the Miramar Police on WSVN, was last seen in the vicinity of the 6600 block of Miramar Parkway at around 10 a.m.
Kings stands at 5 feet, and her weight is approximately 110 pounds. She requires the use of a walker for mobility, and there is a concerning aspect to her disappearance – King is in need of medication. The urgency of finding her is underscored by her potential medical vulnerability. In the same statement, police have encouraged anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward and contact them directly at 954-602-4000.
In an effort to amplify the search, the Miramar Police also turned to social media. A post on their official Instagram account reiterates their call for public assistance. "‼️MIRAMAR Family, we need your help in locating Ms. Linda King. She is 86 years old and was last seen on 7/1/24 near the 6600 block of Miramar Pkwy. If you have seen or know where she is, please call Miramar PD at 954-602-4000." the post reads. The announcement mirrors the information shared by the police in their earlier statement.
The Miramar Police have not yet released additional details on the circumstances surrounding King's disappearance.
