Yesterday morning at approximately 8:16 am, UCPD Patrol Officers responded to a report of an occupied stolen vehicle near Tamarack Drive and Mission Boulevard. Upon the officers' arrival, the suspect fled in the stolen vehicle, which collided with a local business's table and chairs before heading onto eastbound Tamarack Drive. Fortunately, no pedestrians were hit, as reported by the Union City Police Department.

The suspect continued onto Tamarack Drive and collided with a UC transit bus before turning onto southbound Mission Boulevard. As the vehicle approached the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Decoto Road, a UCPD Patrol Officer spotted it while traveling northbound on Mission Boulevard. The officer then pursued the suspect vehicle as it turned onto westbound Decoto Road.

The stolen vehicle then collided with another vehicle, causing a chain reaction that involved a third vehicle. The suspect and a passenger from one of the vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital. The suspect was subsequently arrested on multiple charges.
