A fire broke out at a residential building located at 825 Pine St. in San Francisco last Friday morning, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. As smoke billowed through the floors of the multi-story dwelling, residents promptly dialed 911 and evacuated the premises.
Firefighters were directed by the occupants, who had gathered outside, to the blaze, which had ignited in an exterior planter box, as reported by the department on its Facebook page.
The firefighters' swift action led to extinguishing the fire, fortuitously resulting in neither injuries nor displacements for those in the building. The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed that the fire was accidental. Residents could return to their homes once the building was declared safe.
