Whole Foods Market is set to establish a new store in Doral, marking another addition to the city's burgeoning retail options. Local 10 News reports that developers are planning the Doral Marketplace, which is to be the future home of the organic grocer, and other businesses. The news of the anticipated development was confirmed via a news release from SJC Ventures, an Atlanta-based developer in partnership with Nuveen Real Estate, who recently acquired a 10-acre site on the corner of NW 41st St and NW 107 Ave.

The Doral site, purchased for $32 million, is poised to break ground in Fall 2024, with intentions of opening doors to the public in the latter half of 2025. Notable neighbors such as Shake Shack, First Watch, and GoodVets are set to join Whole Foods Market at the new shopping hub, which will also cater to local small business owners, offering them space to grow and thrive, as reported by The Business Journals.

Adjacent to the marketplace, the Bridge Point Doral (BPD) project is taking shape, poised to provide extensive industrial space upon its early 2025 completion. Spanning 175 acres, the BPD development will include 2.6 million square feet of LEED-Certified, Class A industrial space, another signal of growth for the city. "Our vision for Bridge Point Doral has always been to attract amenities that significantly enhance the quality of life for residents and create a true corporate campus atmosphere for future tenants," Kevin Carroll, a partner at Bridge Industrial, told Local 10 News.

With construction slated to begin later this year, the Doral Marketplace development is a watch-worthy project for the residents of Doral and the surrounding community. The addition of such high-profile tenants reflects an increasing economic investment in the area, signaling a push for a more upscale and comprehensive shopping and professional environment. The anticipation surrounding these developments points to a vibrant future for Doral’s commercial and residential sectors alike.
