Early Wednesday morning, a shooting on the Northwest Side of Chicago left a 19-year-old man in serious condition. According to the Chicago Tribune, the incident occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of North Kedzie Avenue. The victim, who was standing outside his vehicle at the time, heard gunshots, returned to his vehicle and as he drove away, discovered he had been shot multiple times.
The Chicago Fire Department responded and treated the young man on the scene before transporting him to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, as detailed by the Chicago Tribune. He was listed in serious condition.
Investigations into the shooting are underway by area detectives, but as of now, no arrests have been made, and the identity of the gunman remains unknown, as reported by FOX 32 Chicago.
