
A tragic event unfolded on the streets of South Nashville, where a man's life was abruptly ended by a vehicular collision. According to local authorities, Larry Brown, aged 72, sustained fatal injuries after being struck by a Chevrolet Silverado on Murfreesboro Pike on Friday night.
As detailed by FOX 17, the incident took place around 8 p.m. near the Nashboro Boulevard intersection. In their report, Nashville police stated that Brown was attempting to cross the intersection when he was hit by the vehicle. The driver, identified as 29-year-old Leonardo De Jesus Guerrero of LaVergne, was subsequently charged for driving without a license or insurance. The same report mentions that the driver exhibited no signs of impairment at the scene of the crash.
Further details brought forth by WSMV confirmed that Brown was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center following the collision where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver faced the legal repercussions of his actions. WKRN reported that court records showed the Chevrolet driver was released from Metro Jail shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, following the incident.
