
On the streets of Dorchester this past weekend, an incident turned violent, resulting in one man's death and another charged with his murder. According to a statement from the Boston Police Department, 38-year-old David Adams of Dorchester was arrested by homicide detectives yesterday and charged with the fatal stabbing that occurred on Dorchester Avenue the night before.
Diligence by detectives canvassing the area led to the apprehension of the suspect, who was observed near the site of the stabbing, fitting the description of the assailant from the previous night. In a grim reminder of the city's violence, the suspect is accused of fatally wounding the unnamed male victim.
The initial incident, which shook the community, occurred on Friday night. Boston Police responded to a call about a stabbing at 1879 Dorchester Ave around 9:59 p.m. Officers found a man with stab wounds, who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital after being transported by Boston EMS.
