The Broward Sheriff's Office is currently on the hunt for an individual accused of an attempted kidnapping of a young girl. The suspect is believed to have confronted a 15-year-old girl at gunpoint, demanding she enter his gray sedan while she was en route to school in Pompano Beach, as reported by Local 10.
The incident, which reportedly took place on Thursday morning shortly before 7 a.m., triggered an immediate law enforcement response, culminating in the release of a sketch based on the girl’s description, as the teen managed to escape unharmed and provided authorities with details leading them to release the drawing; simultaneously, surveillance footage was obtained showing a gray car that had followed the teen and then sped off eastbound, according to reports by NBC Miami.
The authorities have disseminated the sketch and details. The man in question is described as between 20 and 35 years old, with facial hair, and was last seen wearing a white tank top and black gym shorts. The broward Sheriff's Office is keen on garnering tips that might lead to the man's apprehension.
