Clackamas County is in mourning following a devastating auto-pedestrian crash that claimed the lives of two residents this past weekend. According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. Saturday on SE Lusted Road near SE Dodge Park Boulevard in unincorporated Clackamas County.

The collision involved a 2012 Subaru Forester which struck 81-year-old Larry Glenn Brenner and his 41-year-old son, Jonathan Michael Brenner, both from Boring, as they were pedestrians. The Sheriff's Office confirmed that sadly, both father and son died at the scene of the accident. The driver, identified as 74-year-old David James Robyler from Sandy, remained at the scene following the collision.

In the wake of the tragedy, the Sheriff’s Office inter-agency Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) team has been called upon to thoroughly investigate the circumstances of the crash. At this stage, the reason behind the incident remains under scrutiny, with the investigating team working diligently to determine whether impairment was a critical factor contributing to the harrowing outcome of the event.

While details on the specifics of the collision remain scarce, the community reeled from the sudden loss of the Brenners, known figures in the Boring area. As the investigation continues, local authorities are expected to release additional information once it becomes available.
