The Clarksville Downtown Market has been crowned the premier farmers market in Tennessee, an accolade presented by the American Farmland Trust during their 16th Annual America's Farmers Market Celebration. This event recognizes farmer's markets for their pivotal role in their respective communities nationwide.
In a report from the City of Clarksville's official website, Mayor Joe Pitts expressed his delight over the market's top ranking, acknowledging the impact and significance of local farmers, artisans, and small businesses. Since its launch, the Clarksville Downtown Market has committed itself to providing the community with not just fresh produce but also handcrafted goods and a space that fosters a sense of community. Operating every Saturday from May up to October 5, the market offers a trove of fresh vegetables, fruits, baked items, and handcrafted products, as per the City of Clarksville.
