Clarksville resident Kenneth Moore, 45, has been indicted on multiple counts including robbery, weapons charges, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, as reported by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Middle District of Tennessee. Moore's alleged series of violent crimes targeted three women at motels in Clarksville, between October 2023 and February 2024.
Moore reportedly used the premise of arranging dates to lure his victims, after which he committed the crimes that led to the victims' hospitalization, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Middle District of Tennessee. On February 29, the Clarksville Police Department apprehended Moore, leading to the recent federal indictment. Despite the serious nature of the claims, there is a presumption of innocence until proven otherwise.
The federal indictment details a mandatory minimum sentence of 7 years, which could be extended to life for the weapons charges alone. There are additional penalties of up to 20 years for robbery and up to 15 years for the firearm possession charge, as per the U.S. Attorney's Office, Middle District of Tennessee. Identified as potentially an armed career criminal, Moore could face 15 years to life imprisonment if this status is confirmed.
