Convicted Felon Arrested After Weapons and Drugs Found in Unincorporated Vista HomeSource: San Diego County Sheriff's Office

A man is facing multiple charges after sheriff's deputies found an arsenal of weapons in his North County residence. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Sugarbush Terrace in Unincorporated Vista on Wednesday afternoon for a restraining order violation investigation. Upon their visit, they uncovered that not only Sean Christiansen, born on March 18, 1985, was a convicted felon, but he had also accumulated a collection of firearms and ammunition.

With this revelation, authorities quickly obtained a search warrant for the home of Christiansen. Their search revealed a stockpile of over 35 rifles and handguns. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, they also discovered additional items, including body armor, high-capacity magazines that are considered illegal, firearm parts, thousands of rounds of ammo, firearms manufacturing equipment, and around five ounces of psilocybin mushrooms.

Considering the sheer volume and variety of contraband found, Christiansen now faces serious legal repercussions. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Vista Detention Facility, where he was booked on several charges that include being a convicted felon in possession of weapons, ownership of illegal firearms and a weapon, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
