As reported by the City of Delray Beach's official announcement, the National Procurement Institute recognized Delray Beach for its commitment to the essential principles of Innovation, Professionalism, Productivity, E-procurement, and Leadership within its procurement practices.
City Manager Terrence Moore was quoted expressing pride in the prestigious acknowledgment, suggesting that the award "reflects the dedication and hard work of our entire Purchasing and Contract Administration Division, whose efforts have truly showcased the city’s commitment to excellence in all that we do." Out of the myriad of cities, Delray Beach was one of only 72 nationwide to be awarded the AEP this year, marking another milestone since its last receipt of the honor in 2021, as mentioned on the City of Delray Beach's announcement.
