In a press release, the City of Doral invites locals to join an evening filled with entertainment, starting at 5:30 p.m., to mark the inauguration of this new green space designed to be the city's communal backyard.
According to an official announcement by the City of Doral, the community can look forward to exploring a variety of amenities including playgrounds, an amphitheater, multipurpose fields, and a skate park and pump track. For nature lovers, newly minted boardwalk, fishing pier, and a kayak launch. For the fitness enthusiasts, there are outdoor fitness equipment and pavilions available. A concert headlined by Orlando Mendez and The Wizzards, set to follow a special ceremony at 7:30 p.m. with Doral's Mayor and Council lining up for remarks. The agenda features a mix of music, food, and activities to keep all ages entertained, including inflatables, interactive games, and giveaways.
While half the park will soon open to the community, the western portion is expected to be completed by early 2025. This additional area will round off the park's offerings with a Community Center, an Aquatic Facility, and courts for basketball and tennis enthusiasts seeking to either swish or serve it out.
