Tragedy struck early Tuesday morning in Gresham as a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a driver. KPTV reported that emergency crews were called to the scene in the 1000 block of West Powell Boulevard just after 4 a.m., where a vehicle had veered off the road, colliding with a fence and a tree.
Authorities say the driver was ejected from the vehicle during the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene, as per KPTV. Working to piece together the morning's grim events, the Gresham Police Department has yet to disclose the identity of the person deceased.
