Duluth's own Mayor Roger J. Reinert is riding the wave of local sports enthusiasm, tapping into the city's pride for its latest athletic addition, the Duluth Harbor Monsters.
In a show of support that went beyond mere pleasantries, Mayor Reinert invited the Harbor Monsters to City Hall on Thursday and issued them a proclamation to commemorate their inaugural season, as reported by the City of Duluth.
At the ceremony, festivities were high as the mayor talked up the team's impact on the city’s morale and local community. Later that afternoon, Reinert shifted gears, joining the Chester Bowl Improvement Club leadership for another critical announcement at the Chester Bowl Chalet, as per the City of Duluth.
