The accident, which occurred in the 1100 block of North Fig Street, has been under investigation since last week, with law enforcement tirelessly searching for the individual responsible. The Escondido Police Department’s Traffic and Investigations divisions are handling the case and are calling on the public for assistance.
Despite the ongoing efforts to find the driver, no suspects have yet been identified in connection to the fatal event.
